Independents at its best with Thunder Apparel

Thunder ApparelIt seems that small, independent e-commerce clothing companies are now popping up quicker than your en-vogue microbrewery, which is rather fabulous for our eponymous hero, the hoody.

Faraway from the blandly branded high street garment worn by your preppy school types, you can get your hands on an original hoody at a reasonable price with a rare design. So, there’s little chance of your friends turning up to the same underage drinking party with an identical top.

In particular, Thunder Apparel seems to be making a lot of noise with an indefinable mix of inspiration from urban nature, American typography, rowing emblems, oversized prints and understated colours. It all works brilliantly to create a very cool, alternative indie clothing range.

As you can see they do the hoody proud – especially at under £30 – and we’re also very taken with their long-sleeved t-shirts.

Launched in the twilight months of 2011 and based in both London and Leeds, Thunder Apparel is getting into its stride and we’re looking forward to seeing what it does for the hoody for autumn and winter 2014.
