The goggle hoody driven by Italian Design
The Goggle Hoody may look like a rioter’s dream during a tear gas attack but it actually comes from the brilliant Italian fashion designers and manufacturers, CP Company.
The hoody is an urban hybrid of CP Company’s most iconic design, the goggle jacket. The jacket was based on outerwear worn by drivers during Italy’s Mille Miglia races, which were thousand miles, open-road endurance car races. Like the jacket, the hoody is based on the original racing jackets but updated with modern functional fabrics.
Yes, technically it has a zip and therefore isn’t a true hoody but it has depth and a history that is based on an iconic jacket, so it’s forgiven.
Established in 1975, CP Company’s ethos is function and use. So the Goggle Hoody is simplistically styled, constructed from a premium cotton blend, garment dyed by hand, features a full zip, hand-warmer pockets, elasticated hem and cuffs, and finished with subtly embroidered branding to the left chest. Very Italian and very nice.
It is the ultimate urban and outdoor sports wear. Thankfully, we doubt you’ll see many desperate rioters and muggers wearing them because a Goggle Hoody will set you back a cool £210 – £260.
